1. Introduction and Acceptance
Welcome to Schedgy ("the App," "the Service," "we," "us," or "our"). Schedgy is a household task management application operated by Karan Fadnavis ("the Operator") from Auckland, New Zealand.
By downloading, installing, accessing, or using Schedgy, you ("User," "you," or "your") agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.
These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and the Operator. Please read them carefully.
2. Description of Service
Schedgy is a mobile application that enables users to:
- Create and manage household task lists
- Invite household members to collaborate on shared tasks
- Assign, track, and complete household chores
- Utilise task rotation and fair distribution features
- Access gamification features including points, streaks, and achievements (Plus subscription)
- Sync data across multiple devices in real-time
The Service is available on iOS and Android platforms only.
3. Eligibility
To use Schedgy, you must:
- Be at least 13 years of age (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction)
- Have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement
- Not be prohibited from using the Service under applicable law
By using Schedgy, you represent and warrant that you meet these eligibility requirements.
4. User Accounts
4.1 Account Creation
To use Schedgy, you must create an account by providing:
- A valid email address
- A secure password
- A display name
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.
4.2 Account Security
You agree to:
- Provide accurate, current, and complete information
- Keep your password secure and confidential
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorised access to your account
- Not share your account credentials with others
We are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to protect your account credentials.
4.3 Account Termination
You may delete your account at any time through the App settings. Upon deletion:
- Your personal data will be removed in accordance with our Privacy Policy
- Your membership in any households will be terminated
- Tasks you created may remain visible to other household members
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
5. Household Membership
5.1 Creating a Household
Users may create a household within Schedgy. The user who creates a household becomes the "Household Owner" and receives a unique invite code.
5.2 Joining a Household
Users may join an existing household by entering a valid invite code. By joining a household, you agree to:
- Share task information with other household members
- Allow other members to assign tasks to you
- Have your task completion activity visible to other members
5.3 Household Data Sharing
All members of a household can view:
- Task details (titles, descriptions, assignments)
- Task completion history
- Activity feed updates
- Household member names and display information
You acknowledge that information you add to a shared household is visible to all household members.
5.4 Leaving a Household
You may leave a household at any time. Tasks assigned to you may be reassigned to other members or remain unassigned.
6. Subscriptions and Payments
6.1 Subscription Tiers
Schedgy offers two tiers:
Standard (Free):
- Two member households
- Basic task creation and management
- Recurring tasks (daily, weekly, monthly)
- 3 starter kits
- Basic activity feed
Plus (Paid Subscription):
- Up to 8 household members
- All 23 kits and full task library (1,000+ tasks)
- Smart rotation system (4 patterns)
- Gamification (points, streaks, achievements)
- Custom rewards
- Workload analytics
- Priority support
6.2 Free Trial
New users receive a 14-day free trial of Plus features. During the trial:
- Full access to all Plus features is provided
- Payment information is required to start the trial
- At the end of the trial period, you will be automatically subscribed to the annual Plus plan unless you change your plan or cancel your subscription prior to the end of the trial period
6.3 Payment Processing
All payments are processed through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store ("Platform Providers"). By subscribing to Schedgy Plus, you agree to:
- The payment terms of your Platform Provider
- Allow the Platform Provider to charge your designated payment method
- The automatic renewal terms of your subscription
We do not directly collect, store, or process payment card information.
6.4 Subscription Management
You may manage your subscription (including cancellation) through:
- iOS: Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions
- Android: Google Play Store → Subscriptions
Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. No refunds are provided for partial subscription periods.
6.5 Refunds
Refund requests must be directed to your Platform Provider:

We cannot process refunds directly as payments are handled by Platform Providers.
6.6 Price Changes
We may change subscription pricing at any time. Price changes will:
- Be communicated in advance via the App or email
- Take effect at your next billing cycle
- Not affect your current subscription period
7. User Conduct
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
- Harass, abuse, or harm other users
- Impersonate any person or entity
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Service or other users' accounts
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers
- Upload malicious code, viruses, or harmful data
- Use automated systems (bots, scrapers) to access the Service
- Circumvent any security features or access restrictions
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
- Use the Service to send spam or unsolicited communications
- Violate any applicable laws or regulations
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these conduct rules.
8. User Content
8.1 Your Content
"User Content" includes task titles, descriptions, household names, display names, and any other content you create within the Service.
You retain ownership of your User Content. By submitting User Content, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to use, store, and display your content solely to provide the Service.
8.2 Content Restrictions
You agree not to submit User Content that:
- Is unlawful, defamatory, or obscene
- Infringes on intellectual property rights
- Contains personal information of others without consent
- Is harmful, threatening, or abusive
8.3 Content Removal
We reserve the right to remove User Content that violates these Terms, though we are under no obligation to monitor User Content.
9. Intellectual Property
9.1 Our Intellectual Property
The Service, including its design, features, code, graphics, logos, and trademarks, is owned by the Operator and protected by intellectual property laws.
You may not:
- Copy, modify, or distribute our intellectual property
- Use our trademarks without written permission
- Create derivative works based on the Service
9.2 Feedback
If you provide feedback, suggestions, or ideas about the Service, you grant us the right to use such feedback without compensation or attribution.
10. Third-Party Services
Schedgy integrates with third-party services including:
- Firebase (Google): Authentication, database, analytics
- Apple App Store: Distribution, payments (iOS)
- Google Play Store: Distribution, payments (Android)
- Qonversion: Subscription management
Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party services.
11. Disclaimers
11.1 Service Provided "As Is"
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
- MERCHANTABILITY
- FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE
- NON-INFRINGEMENT
- ACCURACY OR RELIABILITY
- UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE OPERATION
11.2 No Guarantee
We do not guarantee that:
- The Service will meet your specific requirements
- The Service will be available at all times
- Results obtained from the Service will be accurate
- Any errors will be corrected
11.3 Household Relationships
Schedgy is a task management tool and does not guarantee improvements in household relationships, task completion, or fairness in task distribution. Use of the Service is at your own discretion.
12. Limitation of Liability
12.1 Exclusion of Damages
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE OPERATOR SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR:
- Indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
- Loss of profits, data, use, or goodwill
- Service interruption or data loss
- Unauthorised access to your data
- Any third-party conduct or content
12.2 Liability Cap
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE SERVICE IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR NZD $50, WHICHEVER IS GREATER.
12.3 Jurisdictional Limitations
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or limitation of liability. In such jurisdictions, our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under New Zealand law, including under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993.
13. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the Operator from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from:
- Your use of the Service
- Your violation of these Terms
- Your violation of any third-party rights
- Your User Content
14. Termination
14.1 Termination by You
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time.
14.2 Termination by Us
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service:
- For violation of these Terms
- For conduct that harms other users or the Service
- For extended periods of inactivity
- At our discretion with reasonable notice
14.3 Effect of Termination
Upon termination:
- Your right to use the Service ceases immediately
- We may delete your data in accordance with our Privacy Policy
- Provisions that should survive termination (including Disclaimers, Limitation of Liability, and Governing Law) will remain in effect
15. Changes to Terms, Features, and Plans
We reserve the right to modify, update, or discontinue these Terms, any features of the Service, subscription plans, pricing, or any other aspect of the Service at any time without prior notice.
When changes are made:
- The "Last Updated" date will be revised
- Continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of updated Terms
If you do not agree to updated Terms, you must stop using the Service. It is your responsibility to review these Terms periodically for changes.
16. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
16.1 Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand, without regard to conflict of law principles.
16.2 Jurisdiction
Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New Zealand.
16.3 Informal Resolution
Before initiating formal proceedings, you agree to contact us at Loading... to attempt to resolve any dispute informally. We will endeavour to respond within 14 days.
17. General Provisions
17.1 Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and the Operator regarding the Service.
17.2 Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in effect.
17.3 Waiver
Failure to enforce any provision of these Terms does not constitute a waiver of that provision.
17.4 Assignment
You may not assign your rights under these Terms. We may assign our rights to any successor or affiliate.
17.5 No Agency
Nothing in these Terms creates a partnership, employment, or agency relationship between you and the Operator.
